An "NLP specialist" job listing has attracted the attention of Peter Oldman. The job opening in New York City, NY was meant for computer scientists specializing in Natural language processing, a technology used to develop smart assistants such as Siri or Google Assistant. However, Peter was not aware that NLP stands for Natural language processing, because he spent his all life perfection the pseudoscientific craft of Neuro-linguistic programming.

NLP's creators claim there is a connection between neurological processes (neuro-), language (linguistic) and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming), and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life.

Despite zero experience in computer science and software development, Peter got the high paying senior job at the firm and is said to be doing great at the company.
