JAM-stack means "Just Attempt Moving off of our paid service"

Leaked internal emails from employees of several startups in the JAM-stack industry reveal the true nature of the acronym. While officially JAM stands for "JavaScript, APIs, Markup", the leaks support an alternative explanation: "Just Attend Moving off of our paid service".

The claim of many "modern full stack JS" platforms is "no vendor lock in". However, certain features require proprietary solutions to imaginary problems, which make it extremely easy to tightly couple applications to databases, API endpoints and even build processes.
