Notflix: new streaming service for Linux offers silent films from 1894–1936

While YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and other popular streaming services are available on virtually all platforms thanks to browsers, users of desktop Linux will soon be able to enjoy an exclusive offering from Notflix, a new streaming service developed specifically with Linux' users in mind.

Notflix features hundreds of silent films from the golden era of 1894–1936, as well as thousands of slideshows from tech meetups and numerous voiceless screencasts where the author slowly types the description of the process in 11pt font in vim.

Many silent films are meant to be enjoyed with a musical accompaniment, and Notflix has a solution here as well: Linux users can tune in their FM receivers to one of dozens of special radio stations when needed.
