Saying one programming language is better than another is considered hate speech
Brussels, BELGIUM—New EU regulation will make it illegal to say that a particular programming language is better than any other.
"Generally speaking, all Turing-complete programming languages are equal, thus must have equal opportunities and be treated with respect," explains the co-author of the legislation Piisi Correto.
Functional programming enthusiasts in Germany and US are combining their efforts to resist the bill.
In the meantime, Apple is rumored to abandon Swift and bring back Objective C as the primary language for their ecosystem.
